A Couple Pics from August 18, 2011

Brian's attempt on the steep up, and up and over...it's hard to get pictures to show the difficulty of this. Brian did make it after a few attempts, I almost got up on it. We spent a few minutes on a log ride as well, again I got up on it and had to wheelie drop off, Brian made the whole thing and new gal Jo got the little up and over with some practice. Jo dusted us all off in a final dirt road sprint to the cars! Either she is really fast or we have officially gotten old...

Partial shuttle tonight, good ride! Hey shout out to all you Thursday Night Riders, we need your extra parts to build the Fury. I have the frame at John's, he has a fork, I have a stem. I think John said he has brakes and a headset. So, bring me or John your extra parts, and then that will be an extra bike! It's being built as a DH style as much as possible.

Muddy July 17th

Western Washington is really wet this July, Brian and I had a great ride none the less. Osborne loop, hit some snow, a few trees down, great views, sweet trail, etc, etc.

Thursday Night @Ashford

Brian and John have built an incredible set of trails. The best "secret" in the Northwest. Good night! Brian, Big-Juan, Nick, Pat, Jake and myself. Nick fell over half a dozen times trying to hurt himself and finally succeeded, I had a collision with a tree that was real close to being bad news, pizza, beer and Jody's exquisite rhubarb cobbler!

Ashford Area

I'm forgetting what John and Brian called this trail, but what a great ride. Views on Rainier and Adams. The sweetest downhill singletrack, fast, but not so fast you have to ride the breaks.

Four Bull Elk

We saw four huge bull elk with massive antlers traveling along together. Pretty incredible to see.

Osborne Mt., Evening

We marched up the trail then blazed down trying to beat the fading light. I stopped the group a few times for photos, but it was too quick of a pace to really get great images. It was foggy and wet, June 30th!
